Considering that most children with autism have auditory processing delays, giving him time to respond takes lots of patience. I can look at Logan and see when he is processing it and trying to formulate an answer. I can also tell when he clearly didn't understand what I asked or wasn't paying attention. This took lots and lots of practice. It's a standard that I strive to achieve every day but sometimes fall short. Don't believe me?
