2013 School Year : Week 1

I love to take breaks! By the time November rolls around, I am simply done with lessons.  I can not fathom another day with lessons involved in it.  Alas, after a five week break, I am ready for structure and routine. That's where we are right now.  Ready for structure and routine.

Lessons plans were done.  Books were ordered.  The week was ready to go!  Monday came.  That's when the bottom fell out.  Madison dragged herself out of bed feeling poorly.  Logan immediately called a sick day.  I was like , hold up. We can still do lessons.  Then Dad got up feeling poorly & it was his day off.  I called a sick day.  It's hard enough to get lessons done when Dad's home but sick too.  Forget it.

Two days later, Madison finally felt better.  After much consideration, Michael and I decided that this year Madison needed time out of the house , away from autism and brothers.  There is a local studio, Grant Me Grace, that recently opened and is phenomenal.  They have a Thursday morning homeschool enrichment classes.  Writing, math, Crazy Chemists and Colonial Crafts. To say she enjoyed them would be lying.  She smiled and laughed all morning.  Exactly what we were hoping would happen.

The rest of the week is a blur.  After a family meeting, it was decided that we would add this week into the next 12 to get caught up before April break.  If not, we'll make it up one of those 2 weeks.  It ends up all being done in the end.
