Homeschooling with Autism: Day 15 Prior Thoughts

My favorite flowers at the plant sale this weekend!

I thought that I would take today to share some links to prior posts about homeschooling and/or autism .  Yea, technically it's cheating.  I hope you enjoy them.

  1. How interesting that you mention Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons as I just started it AGAIN with my 6-year-old 1st grader (with SPD). This is our 3rd attempt. The first 2 attempts ended at about lesson 10...and it was a push to get that far. So, we took some time off and tried Hooked on Phonics for 6 months. But now he wants a break from Hooked on Phonics. Today he did lessons 9-13 in 100 Easy lessons with EASE. It's important to be flexible! NO CURRICULUM is a perfect fit or works out as planned.
