Centri Kid Camp Memories

Yet another year has passed from Centri Kid camps.  This camp is always the highlight of our summer.  Madison decided last year that she wanted to go but wanted me to be the chaperone.  I gladly accepted knowing that there will come a day when she doesn't want me to be with her at camp.  We had so much fun last year that I happily agreed to it this year as well.

I must confess that Madison was the only girl in the group.  We had 10 boys and our solitary girl.  While I would have been intimidated by this, Madison held her own.  The first day in the dorm, she left me in our room to go find a friend.  She found many on our floor.  I think she spent more time with them than me.  We joined them one day to braid her and paint nails. Other than them not going to bed on time, they were a great group of kids.

She took Weird Science and sign language as her classes.  She thoroughly enjoyed both.  For sign language, she performed the song on stage on the last day.  That video comes on Sunday.  It was my favorite memory. She is such a great performer.  She liked all the experiments in weird science although the teacher was quite odd.  I mean , really, who plays rock paper spock instead of rock paper scissors?

Yup, that's my unsocialized homeschooler!

All went well despite the gale force winds and the torrential rain from Tropical Storm Debbie.  Both her and I learned so much during Bible study and about each other.  I love these times to grow closer to her as she begins to transform into a beautiful Godly young woman. It takes  my breath away that God lets me participate in this miracle.
